In Japan Oroku Saki was part of the Foot Clan and his sensai was Hamato Yoshi. He framed Yoshi and got him exiled from Japan, so he could take over the Foot Clan and turn it into an evil army. Penniless Yoshi had to live in the sewers. Shredder followed Yoshi to America and poured some mutagen down the sewer, which turned Yoshi into a rat, and turned 4 ordinary turtles into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The turtles named Yoshi Splinter and he named them after his favorite renassiance painters. Somehow Shredder met Krang. Krang is a talking brain that is leader of Dimension X. He commited some kinds of crimes in Dimension X, so he had his body taken away and he was sent to Earth. Krang gave Shredder vast technical knowledge in exchange for Shredder making him a body. So now they basically just want to destroy the turtles and take over the world.
